DSM Takes Centre Stage at 2025 Cannes Lions Festival Alongside Sir Mo Farah
DSM made waves at the this years Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity with Olympic legend and client Sir Mo Farah. There were a number of highlights across the festival, one that stands out was Sir Mo Farah's prestigious honorary CLIO Sports award, recognising athletes who have revolutionised their sports, alongside luminaries like Pele, Megan Rapinoe, Mikaela Shiffrin, and Carmelo Anthony.
Sir Mo kicked off the festival with a morning run club along the iconic Croisette, gathering over 100 industry leaders in support of Movember and Stagwell, promoting health and fitness within the creative community.
Moreover, Sir Mo Farah took part in a thought-provoking panel discussion titled "Creating a Movement, One Stride at a Time: Movember, Strava, and Men's Health." Joined by Movember's CEO, the Senior Director of Strava, and moderated by Malcom Gladwell, the panel explored the transformative power of sport in advancing men's health initiatives globally.
We didn’t stop there as Sir Mo shared insights on a TikTok panel titled "Built for the FYP, Made for the Moment," focusing on the role of storytelling through brands and individuals, highlighting the channel’s impact on consumer engagement and showcasing how brands can leverage real-time cultural conversations effectively.
Throughout the festival, whether it was brands, industry leaders or talent at the LBB Beach, DMS reinforced their commitment to innovation and collaboration in sports marketing and digital media.
About Sir Mo Farah: Sir Mo Farah, CBE, is a multiple Olympic, World and European Champion athlete. For many he is Britain’s greatest ever athlete having accumulated 10 global titles which includes the ‘double double’ of gold medals over 5,000m and 10,000m at both the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games. He holds numerous European and British Records and has the World Best for the One Hour Run (21,330m). Sir Mo was knighted in the 2017 New Year Honours for services to athletics.
